Family Dollar Tabs Shaskey-Platek for Merchandising Role

MATTHEWS, N.C.-Holly Shaskey-Platek has been named senior vice president of merchandising at Family Dollar.

Shaskey-Platek has assumed responsibility for the merchandising of the home, apparel and seasonal divisions, and reports to Paul White, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer. She has succeeded White in these merchandising functions.

Shaskey-Platek joined Family Dollar in 2008 as a consultant, responsible for providing company-wide leadership in change management. Before coming to Family Dollar, she spent 25 years with Target and ShopNBC, where she led men's apparel and private-brand development teams and implemented an assortment-planning tool to support expanded clustering capability.
