Churches Resigns, Rouleau Named Interim CEO at Tuesday Morning

DALLAS-Brady Churches has resigned as president and CEO of closeout retailer Tuesday Morning, and the company has appointed Michael Rouleau as interim CEO.

Most recently, Rouleau was president and CEO of Michaels Stores. A Tuesday Morning statement said he would manage the company's day-to-day operations as the company conducts a search for a permanent CEO, for which it has engaged Spencer Stuart, a global executive-search firm. Rouleau will continue to serve on the Tuesday Morning board, which he joined in November of last year.

Churches said he and the Tuesday Morning board "have determined that this transition is in the company's best interests." He became president and CEO last September, succeeding Kathleen Mason, who was let go by the retailer last June.
