ARTS Award Winners Celebrated in Dallas

DALLAS-Dallas Market Center and the Accessories Resource Team, the trade association representing the decorative accessory industry, announced the winners of the 22nd annual ARTS Awards during a gala event held Jan. 22 in The Grand Pavilion at the Trade Mart. Guests attended the ceremony that recognized ARTS Awards recipients in 28 different categories.

HGTV was honored with the Academy of Achievement Award for its impact on the home and garden decor industry. Sabrina Soto, HGTV designer, and Freddy James, senior vice president of program development and production, accepted the award on behalf of the media and marketing company.


The ARTS Awards, presented each January during the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market recognizes excellence from retailers, manufacturers, sales representatives and designers. 

The winners are as follows: In the manufacturers category, The Phillips Collection won for its accent furniture; Loloi Rugs won for its area rugs; 18Karat International Product Sourcing Inc. won for its decorative accessories; db Sources, Inc. won for its home textiles; Corbett Lighting won for its lighting fixtures; Seasonal Living won for its outdoor living products; The French Bee won for its permanent florals; Arteriors Home won for its portable lamps; Vietri won for tabletop; and Wendover Art Group won for wall decor. Hubbardton Forge was presented with the green manufacturer award. Renee Wightman of Lazy Susan USA was recognized in the product designer category; Design Lighting of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada was awarded the international retailer prize and Colorado Villa DeCor of Palmer Lake, Colo. won the rising star retailer award.

Other retailers were also honored. In the furniture store category, winners included Albert's Interiors of Newton Square, Pa.; ACC of Santa Fe, N.M.; and Bravado Home & Design of Portland, Ore. In the home accent store category, the winners were Red Barn Mercantile of Alexandria, Va.; AREA of Houston, Texas and Bella Casa of Portland, Ore. Lighting showroom winners included LUMEN Lamps of Nashville, Tenn.; Light by Design of San Antonio, Texas; and Kilohana Lighting, Inc. of Lihue, Hawaii.

Sales representatives were celebrated, including Josh Jarboe of jdouglas, Richard Alan of Richard Alan & Associates, Lori Del Secco of Dillon-Wells and Kelley Ireland of Southern Accessories Today.
