In Showplace, Surya will have a much bigger presence with its new 26,000-square-foot showroom, space 4100. The new space will allow the company to do more than display product, as the company wants to provide inspiration to retailers as well.
"We'll share lots of creative concepts for how they can create excitement in their own stores and maximize profits through the use of stylish rugs and accents," said Satya Tiwari, president. Surya also will use the showroom to conduct Surya University training sessions with retailers.
In the International Home Furnishings Center, Loloi Rugs will unveil its newly expanded showroom in space D320, which has almost doubled in size to 14,000 square feet and is now its biggest buying venue outside its Dallas headquarters. "Our aim for this expanded space is to create a destination that makes our customers feel welcome and at home," said Amir Loloi, owner of Loloi Rugs.
Several exhibitors are making their High Point Market debuts this month. Millennium Weavers will show in LR Resources' showroom in Showplace, space 3450. The company launched in January, and "we are extremely excited to offer the uniqueness of these designs to the High Point Market," said Mike Thompson, vice president of Millennium Weavers' area rug division. The company is adding two more collections with more traditional looks at this market.
Orian Rugs will also make its debut at High Point in Showplace, space 3233. The 6,500-square-foot space will show Orian's full line, but will emphasize its new Gallery collection, which debuted in January and targets the furniture, specialty and independent regional retailers.
First-time exhibitor and handmade rug manufacturer Amer Rugs will show product in a 2,000-square-foot showroom in the Suites at Market Square, space M-4042. Both its program collections--including the new Ottoman, Kohinoor and Pearl lines--and one-of-a-kind items will be shown at market, as well as its new digital product e-catalog.
The Antique Rug Collection will also make its debut, showing in a 1,062-square-foot showroom at 200 N. Hamilton, space 333. The company offers eco-friendly area rugs and carpeting made by hand on its own looms in Pakistan. This market will see the debut of Susani, a whimsical collection that combines steely colors with accent tones, as well as new patterns to its Original Platinum Oushaak & Kotaan line, an upscale look with a rich patina.
