SADDLE BROOK, N.J.-Next month Nourison will open a new permanent showroom in High Point on the first level of InterHall, in the International Home Furnishings Center building. Located at space IH 101, the 5,000-square-foot showroom will open in the last week of September to coincide with pre-market at High Point Market.
The company last had a permanent showroom at High Point about five years ago, and then showed in the InterHall temporaries during this past April market.
"The model of Nourison having the largest backup inventory of area rugs in the country and being able to ship out orders quickly is probably the best possible fit for home furnishings retailers," said Alex Peykar, principal at Nourison. "These stores only have a limited allocation of space and sales-per-square-feet become very important. We are also pleased to say that our showroom location at IH 101 is the most coveted location at InterHall... and InterHall is the most coveted location at the High Point Market."
This will be the company's second new showroom this fall, as it announced yesterday that it would be opening a 10,000 square foot showroom on the street level of 295 Fifth Avenue in New York. Both new showrooms will show Nourison's range of area and scatter rugs as well as such home accessories as decorative pillows and poufs, and brands such as Calvin Klein Home.
