KANNAPOLIS, N.C.-Rug & Home has opened its third and largest store here, at approximately 96,000 square feet. And unlike the company's other locations in Asheville, N.C., and Gaffney, S.C., this store will be known as Rug & Home Wholesale Outlet.

"Providing exceptional pricing and value for the customer has always been our main focus," says Aanchal Agarwal, chief operating officer. "With our increased buying power, we'll be able to provide discounts we never have before at all three of our locations." The building includes warehouse space of approximately 15,000 square feet, and the store is stocked with more than 50,000 items, including furniture, artwork and accessories, as well as  rugs.

"We were looking at the Charlotte market for a long time," Agarwal said. "Kannapolis' close distance from Charlotte's city center and Greensboro, along with the opportunity it presented us to renovate and occupy the abandoned building, proved the perfect fit for us."

Agarwal's father and the owner of Rug & Home, Rakesh Agarwal, added, "Expanding in this economic climate has certainly been challenging. But, as the availability of the premium space shows, it has also provided us with unique business opportunities that we may not have had otherwise."
