CULVER CITY, Calif.-Now celebrating its 26th year in business, The Rug Market America recently opened its expanded corporate headquarters and showroom here, which tripled in size and totals 11,000 square feet. More than 200 buyers and representatives of The Rug Market gathered at the new facility recently to celebrate the opening and its anniversary.

"The offices are trendy, fashionable and architecturally pleasing," said Mike Shabtai, owner of The Rug Market America. "We now have ample room for showcasing our full product line to the trade and a sample gallery that will be a valuable tool for use by sales representatives and buyers alike."

Shabtai founded the company in 1985, starting it out of a traditional Oriental rug store that he previously owned in partnership with his brothers. Today, the company continues to be a family affair as Shabtai's sons, Aaron and Andrew, are both involved in the company in vice presidential positions.

In the new facility, the full array of rug lines on display included The Walt Disney Signature Collection, which The Rug Market America has represented for several years. New designs will be seen at the upcoming Atlanta International Area Rug Market later this week. "We are looking forward to seeing everyone at these showrooms during the upcoming markets," Shabtai said.
