Chilewich is set to debut both new shapes and a new texture and colorway at this month's Atlanta International Area Rug Market.

Retro shapes make up the new Lounge collection, which were initially inspired by Japanese textiles before evolving into something more mid-century, the company said. In three colors (oatmeal, vintage gray and russet) and two abstract sizes (4-by-6 and 6-by-9, with retail prices of $385 and $670, respectively), the collection is also available in placemats and coasters.

"I drew inspiration from the wonderful world of Calder for the shapes of the designs, which created a very retro feel that referenced back to the mid-century pattern," said Sandy Chilewich, designer, of the Lounge group.

For Chilewich's new Boucle group, the designer was interpreting fine knitwear into a woven textile, she said. "I was inspired to try and interpret the luxury of fine knitwear into a woven textile that was durable, modern and easy to clean."

Boucle will be available in three colors (pebble, gray and coffee).

In the company's indoor/outdoor mat collection, a new color--bright multi--has been added to the Shag Skinny Stripe pattern. The shag is tufted from durable vinyl yarns, giving it a textured looped look. In addition, a 24-by-72-inch runner is now available in all five colorways in Skinny Stripe, as well as in Solid Shag Black and Solid Shag Mercury.
