FOXBOROUGH, Mass.-Bob's Discount Furniture and the American Red Cross are teaming up with the New England Patriots to host the seventh annual "mega" blood drive and day of family fun at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All attendees will have a chance to enter to win autographed Patriots memorabilia and game tickets at the event. In addition to sponsoring the blood drive, Bob's Discount Furniture is donating 20 furniture gift cards for recliners to be raffled off. Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones along with Patriots legend Joe Andruzzi and other former players are scheduled to attend, as well as the New England Patriots Cheerleaders.

Participating area high school bands and cheerleaders will attend and entertain during the day. Also, blood donors will be treated to Super Saturday at Gillette Stadium, which will host the six Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) Football Championships on the same day. Twelve teams will compete for six state-wide championships on the field, which will be visible from the blood drive.

The event is in celebration of the Fifth Annual Bob's Discount Furniture High School Heroes $250,000 scholarship program. The Scholarship Program recognizes outstanding high school seniors in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey who have made exceptional contributions to their schools' volunteer blood donor programs.
