LOUISVILLE, Ky.-Brown Jordan and designer Richard Frinier have been cited for a Good Design Award in the furniture category from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design for the company's Cloud Nine collection of indoor/outdoor furniture.
The collection is designed with curves and continuous organic lines as a representation of a glimpse into the future. Its sling seating surfaces incorporate Brown Jordan's proprietary Parabolic fabric, with the frames capturing the tautly upholstered fabric to create an esthetic form, function, comfort and experience, according to a company statement.
The Cloud Nine collection will be spotlighted at Brown Jordan's showrooms and at the High Point Market in October. The Good Design Award is presented annually by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, in cooperation with The European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies.
