From Cyndi Lauper to Cutlery: Fashion's Night Out Is Tonight

NEW YORK--Fashionistas unite once again for the fourth annual Fashion's Night Out, where retailers worldwide offer special promotions, events--including some home-oriented happenings--and celebrities, to celebrate and support the fashion and retail industries.

Having started in New York, Fashion's Night Out is always a festive evening here, and will be the place for numerous debuting collections as well as fun events. Cyndi Lauper will be performing at Manolo Blahnik, for example, and both Macy's Herald Square and Lord & Taylor will have men's lounges, including hand-rolled cigars.

Though its newest The Shops at Target collections won't debut nationwide until Sept. 9, Target is letting New Yorkers preview and purchase the fall installment in a pop-up shop on the Highline Stages on West 14th street, from 6-10 p.m. Hosted by "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno"'s Ross Mathews, the pop-up shop will include the limited-edition home and apparel collections from The Curiousity Shoppe, Kirna Zabete, Odin and PATCH NYC.

Bloomingdales on Third Avenue will have a cutlery and cooking demonstration from 6:30-8 p.m. Marc Murphy, executive chef and owner of Benchmarc Restaurants by Marc Murphy will demonstrate the new All-Clad cutlery collection.

At Macy's Herald Square, Macy's Culinary Council chef Johnny Iuzzini and Debi Mazar will share their entertaining tips from 6-7:30 p.m. on the sixth floor. Other celebrities scheduled to appear include style expert Clinton Kelly, designer Michael Kors, television personality Bethenny Frankel and, hosting its men's lounge, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star Scott Disick.

QVC also once again will broadcast live from New York City for the evening, from 9 p.m. to midnight. Jennifer Hudson, Isaac Mizrahi and Nicole Richie will debut their new collections for the retailer during the event. At Lord & Taylor, guest appearances will include Kim Kardashian and Olympic Gold Medalist Kristi Yamaguchi, and students from the Fashion Institute of Technology will give away personalized fashion illustrations.

Other participating New York retailers include Swarovski, Christofle, Baccarat, Calvin Klein, The Shop @ Scandinavia House, Frette and Pratesi. A complete listing is at
