Hellyer Named President of Kingsdown

MEBANE, N.C.-Mattress industry veteran Bob Hellyer has been appointed president of Kingsdown, replacing Pat Flippen, who announced his retirement last week.

Hellyer's new post is the latest among the leadership positions he has held in the industry. He served Simmons for 11 years, including his tenure as corporate president from 2001 to 2005. From 2007 to 2008, Hellyer served as chief executive officer of Spring Air, now known as Spring Air International.

"Kingsdown is gaining a valued industry resource in Bob," said Eric Hinshaw, chairman and CEO. "His leadership skills have proven he is uniquely qualified to lead this global company to the next level."
