DALLAS-HGTV's John Gidding and interior designer Shay Geyer will be the special presenters at the 24th annual ARTS Awards, which will take place this Saturday, Jan. 19. Organized by Dallas Market Center and Accessories Resource Team, the awards will also be presented by Dallas Market Center's Bill Winsor, president and CEO, and Cindy Morris, chief operating officer, and ART's Sharon Davis, executive director, and Mindy Lowack, executive vice president.

Gidding is a designer and TV host who has appeared on the popular HGTV series "Curb Appeal: The Block." Born in Istanbul, John Gidding attended American schools in Turkey and Switzerland before receiving a bachelor's degree in architecture from Yale University and a master's degree in architecture from Harvard's Graduate School of Design. His portfolio includes his work on New York City's Brooklyn Bridge Park and Union Square, the campus plan for Carnegie Mellon University and a pavilion for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Besides presenting at the ARTS Awards, Gidding will also be the guest at a meet and greet at 8:30 a.m. (Outdoor Living, 1F201, International Trade Plaza) and present a seminar on the role of decorative accessories in curb appeal at 10 a.m. (Hall of Nations, WTC-1) earlier that day.

Geyer, interior designer and design trend and style maven, has appeared regularly on WFAA TV's "Good Morning Texas" since 2006. Her projects range in style from modern lofts and high rises to opulent French estates. She is currently designing an exclusive collection of upholstery and soft goods for IBB, and her blog, Design Detective, is available at http://www.ibbdesign.com/blog/.

The presenters will speak from a crystal-embellished podium that is complemented by a 14 foot-tall crystal strand curtain backdrop created by Swarovski Elements.
