Home Furnishings Industry Conference Sets Speaker Lineup

ROSEVILLE, Calif.-The Western Home Furnishings Association and the National Home Furnishings Association has scheduled its speakers for the upcoming Home Furnishings Industry Conference.

The opening keynote speakers will be Bob Beckel and Cal Thomas of USA Today's Common Ground column, who will describe how to forge agreements even though differences may exist between retailers and suppliers. Erik Qualman, author of "Socialnomics," will deliver a presentation on the implications of social media and how businesses can use them to increase sales, cut marketing costs and communicate more directly with consumers. John Moore, a marketing expert known for his work with Starbucks and Whole Foods Market, will speak on how small businesses can thrive in a crowded marketplace, and how big businesses can continue to grow when faced with upstart competition.

The Home Furnishings Industry Conference is scheduled for April 30-May 2 at the Westin River Walk in San Antonio.
