Kathy Ireland to Receive First Design for Life Award

NEW YORK-Gift for Life, the gift, stationery and home decor industries' sole charitable organization announced today that Kathy Ireland will receive its first Design For Life Award.

The award will be presented to Ireland on Jan. 30, 2011, at the annual Gift for Life fundraising event, to be held at the Central Park Boathouse here.  Additional honorees for the Bert Tonkin Gift of Giving Award and the Trailblazer Award will be made in the coming weeks.

 

Ireland is the chief executive officer and chief designer for Kathy Ireland Worldwide.

 

"Kathy is one of the most talented and respected people in the home and gift industries," said Jenny Hammons, chair for Gift for Life, in announcing the honor.  "We are especially grateful that she will be honored by Gift for Life."
