King Upped to Lead La-Z-Boy Retail Segment

La-Z-BoyMONROE, Mich.-La-Z-Boy has promoted Daniel King to president of its retail segment.

In his new role, King will oversee all facets of the company-owned La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries, including sales, store operations, training and merchandising. He reports to Mark Bacon, senior vice president and president of the company's branded business. King has been leading the retail sector for the past three years, as vice president of retail operations. Bacon was president of the retail sector until he was named to his current post in 2011.

King joined La-Z-Boy as director of retail sales and operations in 2008. Before coming to the company, he was divisional vice president of the southern division for Pepboys, and prior to that he was vice president of the mid-Atlantic region for Staples.
