Las Vegas Market to Honor Barbara Barry as Design Icon

LAS VEGAS-Interior designer and author Barbara Barry will be honored as the 2014 Design Icon during Winter Las Vegas Market, Jan. 26-30, 2014.

Barry's designs range from elegant interiors to an extensive portfolio of home furnishings.

"The incomparable Barbara Barry is truly an American classic in the world of interior design. The imprint she has made in all facets of her work, and on the industry as a whole, is nothing short of remarkable," said Bob Maricich, CEO of International Market Centers, which owns and operates Las Vegas Market. "We are delighted to present Barbara Barry with the esteemed Design Icon award, which is the centerpiece of our programming roster at the Winter Market. We are committed to delivering complementary, insightful events that serve our A&D community during market, and this program will certainly offer market attendees a rare glimpse into Barbara Barry's inspiring work and life as a designer."

The 2013 Design Icon presentation will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 11 a.m. in Building B, 16th Floor World View Ballroom. The event will include a presentation by Barry, followed by a Q&A with Maricich. Immediately following the presentation will be a book signing and meet-and-greet reception located at Global Views (A-153). The event is complimentary and open to all Las Vegas Market attendees.

"As a self-taught designer who has endeavored to make her mark in this industry it means so much to me to be recognized. I believe that we are called to offer our unique gift and I thank the Las Vegas Market from the bottom of my heart for recognizing mine," Barry said.
