Dallas Lighting Market Opens

DALLAS-The Dallas International Lighting Market opens today at the Dallas Market Center, part of Dallas Total Home & Gift Market. The lighting market runs from today through Jan. 21.

During the show today, DMC will offer snacks for hungry lighting attendees: artichoke dip with chips and crostini will be served at 2 p.m. on Trade Mart 3, outside showroom 3931; and spiked caramel hot chocolate at 4 p.m. on TM 4, outside showroom 4929.

Among the events scheduled for today include Crystorama's Rep of the Year award presentation and party, from 4-6 p.m. (TM 3503) and the Gift & Home Trade Association's networking party, 5-7 p.m. (TM 2420). And for night owls, DMC will host its Lighting After Dark party at the Sheraton Downtown Hotel starting at 9 p.m., so the lighting industry can mingle.

The Dallas Market Center now has a new Twitter handle for the Lighting Market for at-market social media, @DMClighting, and is encouraging followers to use the hashtag #lightingmkt. Tweets with that hashtag will appear on the Buzz Board (LED screen) located in the Trade Mart atrium on the fourth floor.
