Mod Mom Founder to Headline ASFD Event During High Point

HIGH POINT, N.C.-Kiersten Hathcock, the founder and designer of Mod Mom Furniture who is also scheduled to appear on an April 1st episode of ABC television show's Shark Tank, will be the keynote speaker at the American Society of Furniture Designers' Spring High Point Market dinner. She will discuss her journey from beginning her business in her garage and growing it into a globally recognized brand through social media.

Slated for Monday, April 4 at the High Point Country Club, the event will begin at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception sponsored by Leggett & Platt, with door prizes sponsored by Bernice Bienenstock Furniture Library. At 7 p.m., the 2010 Student Design Challenge winners will be announced, and the buffet dinner begins at 7:45 p.m. Hathcock is then scheduled to go on at 8 p.m.
