WHFA, NHFA to Hold Sessions at Las Vegas Market

LAS VEGAS-The Western Home Furnishings Association (WHFA) and the National Home Furnishings Association (NHFA) have joined to offer a schedule of educational seminars during Las Vegas Market next month.

Among the sessions that are planned for this series are "The 12 Rs of Retail Selling," conducted by Philip Gutsell of GutSELL & Associates, from 9 to 10 a.m. on Aug. 2.

The schedule also features seminars in the Business Survival/WHFA Academy Series, sponsored by the World Market Center. These include "Retail Revolution: New World, New Way," conducted by Rich Kizer and Georganne Bender of Kizer & Bender Speaking!, from 4 to 5 p.m. on Aug. 2. On Aug. 3 from 4 to 5 p.m., "Building a Brand with Personality," conducted by Mary Liz Curtin of Leon & Lulu, will be held.

From 9 to 10 a.m. on Aug. 4, Jeff Hiller from PROaction Marketing Group will conduct "Intensive Management Training: Morale, Motivation and Measurement." On Aug. 5 from 9 to 10 a.m., Mike Egan, Ron Cooper and Hector Mustafa of Profit Management Promotions will hold "The Myths & Realities about Professional Sales Promotion & Liquidation Companies."

All of the sessions will be held in the WHFA/NHFA Retailer Resource Center, room 1630 of Building B at the World Market Center.
