World Market Center to Sponsor Home Mortgage Sweepstakes

LAS VEGAS-To help focus attention on the second annual National Home Furnishings Month in September, the World Market Center will sponsor a nationwide consumer sweepstakes that will pay a homeowner's mortgage for one year.

The sweepstakes will run through September and will be promoted extensively online and with the support of participating retailers. Stores can join in the effort by allowing shoppers to enter to win the grand prize at no cost. The World Market Center will also encourage retailers to promote the contest in their advertising, and urge stores to take advantage of the convention center's free promotional marketing tools.

Robert Maricich, World Market Center's president and chief executive officer, said the center will offer content and free tools for retailers to "plug and play" the campaign with their own brand and in their own markets. "This promotion hopes to lighten what can be a hefty burden on today's families while giving them the freedom to rejuvenate their home with new furnishings," Maricich said.

Retailers may sign up for National Home Furnishings Month and the sweepstakes by visiting homeyet.com/retailer-login, or while attending next week's Las Vegas Market. The National Home Furnishings Month kiosk will be located in the World Market Center's Building C atrium or in room 496 of Building C, which is hosted by the Western Home Furnishings Association.
