SALT LAKE CITY-Patrick Byrne, Overstock.com's chairman and CEO, has resumed his post after taking a medical leave.

Byrne, also the founder of the retail website, took his leave in February to be treated for cardiac issues thought to be associated with cancer treatments he had received years ago. Jonathan Johnson, former president of Overstock.com, was named acting CEO at that time.

Johnson has been nominated to stand for election to the Overstock board. If elected, Johnson will be appointed executive vice chairman.
