Combined Atlanta Shows Offer a Series of Events

ATLANTA-A number of events are planned for the upcoming Atlanta Apparel Market, the Atlanta Fall Gift & Home Furnishings Market and Atlanta Gourmet Market, which are being combined for the first time at AmericasMart Atlanta.

On Oct. 14, The Education Center will hold Social Marketing Strategies for Specialty Retailers, which will provide approaches to social marketing through navigating pitfalls, avoiding social "snake-oil" sales people, setting a manageable budget and generating high returns on social marketing. Also on Oct. 14, a gourmet cooking demonstration featuring chef Hugh Acheson, who has been featured on "Top Chef" and "Top Chef Masters," will take place.

On Oct. 15, "How Can You Use Social Media to Build Business?" will provide information on social-media marketing for specialty stores. Also on Oct. 15, a keynote panel luncheon will be hard, which will detail the benefits of doing business in the South.

Throughout the shows, AmericasMart will offer tote-bag giveaways, bar carts, cocktail stations and massage breaks.
