IMC: Retail Outreach Efforts Paying Off in Tabletop, Home Decor
July 19, 2013,
LAS VEGAS-Las Vegas Market said its intensive efforts to attract buyers to its show later this month have paid off in large gains in home decor and gift registration, with 3,500+ new-to-market buyers from these categories representing all 50 states planning to attend the event for the first time.
In addition, traffic on the Gift + Home website is up 539 percent for the summer Market compared to a year ago.
"This extraordinary increase in registration and buyer interest is a result of our efforts to exponentially increase Las Vegas Market's gift and home decor resources and extensive efforts to improve customer interactions through Las Vegas Market's retail relations call center," said Dorothy Belshaw, president of Gift & Home Decor, International Market Centers. "Earlier this year, Las Vegas Market launched a comprehensive customer outreach initiative of unprecedented size and scope to attract new, qualified gift and home decor buyers, and we are delighted with such immediate - and impressive - results. The growth in gift and home decor resources will complement the existing furniture resources and create a comprehensive, cross-category shopping experience."
"Anecdotally, our call center specialists report that buyers are excited and energized by our efforts to transform Las Vegas Market into the leading home furnishings and gift destination in the western United States," Belshaw said. "We're confident that these attendance gains will drive additional business for showroom tenants and temporary exhibitors throughout the market."
Las Vegas Market will take place July 29-Aug. 2.
