MMPI to Offer Special Handcrafted Products Areas at Chicago and California Shows

CHICAGO--The upcoming Chicago Market: Living and Giving and California Gift Show will include Beckman's Handcrafted Shows, which will exhibit handcrafted and artisanal products.

A fixture for more than 30 years, Beckman's Handcrafted Shows are designed as shows within a show. At these two upcoming shows, the Beckman's areas will spotlight vendors of hand-crafted apparel, jewelry and home accents. Both of these show areas will consist of 25 percent new-to-market exhibitors, along with returning artisans, according to an MMPI statement.

The section at the Chicago Market will be called Beckman's Chicago, while the one at the California show will be named Beckman's West. The Chicago Market will take place from Jan. 20-26 at the Chicago Merchandise Mart, while the California Gift Show is scheduled for Jan. 18-24 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and the L.A. Mart.

Many expected 2016 would be a banner year, but the political and economic climate softened consumer confidence. It was also a year consumers spent more lavishly on home remodeling rather than decorating.
