NYIGF Exhibitors Awarded Highest Sustainability Status

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.--Six exhibitors in the New York International Gift Fair's Sustainability: design for a better world section have been designated as achieving the highest level of sustainability for their products, production processes and business practices.

The companies are Handmade Expressions for its "old school" journals and gift bags, The Green Glass Co. for the Willow goblets and tumbler collection, Jonathan's Spoons for its flame-blacked ladle, Indego Africa for its yoga bags, Sobral USA for the Kandinsky collection of jewelry and Teatulia Premium for its line of 100 percent organic teas.

The vendors received their designations through NYIGF's Degrees of SustainAbility initiative, which outlines industry-specific criteria for identifying "green" products and producers. The initiative includes a three-tiered ranking that indicates the extent to which a product or vendor complies with these standards.

The Gift Fair is scheduled for Jan. 29-Feb. 3.
