HIGH POINT, N.C.-Santa seller Sans Souci Sisters will launch its "Fight the Good Fight" Santa auction at High Point Market, with 20 percent of the proceeds going to the "Fight like a Girl" Scholarship Fund, which is in honor of MeMe Brown, a 21-year-old who died of ovarian cancer a year ago.

Founded in 2009, Sans Souci Sisters, LLC, creates custom heirloom Santas for personal and professional decor, and ships its product worldwide. The company will be showing in a new location for High Point Market, at the Zaar Design Center, 741 West Ward Ave. The Fight the Good Fight Santa will be on display during market in High Point, before moving to another exhibit in Charlotte, N.C., in November. The auction will start taking bids at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, through midnight on Nov. 27.

"It really hit me hard this year how many of memory Santas we were making to represent those who had lost their fight to cancer at sometime this past year," said Sans Souci Sisters owner and founder Kimberly Stone. "The families, the stories, it's all heart breaking for me. We made this particular Santa to coincide with October and breast cancer awareness, but it doesn't really matter what word you put in front of cancer, it's a truly awful disease."

The scholarship will be awarded to a student at Starmount High School in Hamptonville, N.C., in 2014. To find out more details about the "Fight the Good Fight" Santa auction or the "Fight like a Girl" Scholarship Fund go to http://sanssoucisisters.com/blog4/fight-the-good-fight-santa/.
