TORONTO-Umbra will launch a new concept store in Shanghai next month, its first in China.

The 1,700 square-foot store will be located in Shanghai's Jinqiao Mall and will encompass Umbra's gift and home products such as wall decor, photo displays, clocks and accessories for the kitchen and bath. "We are thrilled to be opening our new store in China. Our designers hail from around the world, which has helped us create a truly international style. We hope that we'll be as popular here in China as we are in over 100 other countries," said Paul Rowan, co-founder.

"Umbra began producing its original home decor designs in Canada over 33 years ago.  I am proud to say that we have stayed true to the original idea of functional, original, beautiful products that often have a sense of fun and excitement," said Les Mandelbaum, president and co-founder. "Today, Umbra creates thousands of products for every room in the home and these are found in stores all over the world.  Although Umbra is well known, few customers have any idea of the number of products we make; so an Umbra freestanding store is the best way to demonstrate this."
