SOUTH DEEERFIED, Mass.-To honor the victims affected by the recent Boston Marathon tragedy and the bravery of the responders involved, Massachusetts-based Yankee Candle is launching a limited edition Boston Strong candle. All net proceeds for the commemorative candle will be donated to the One Fund Boston, the official non-profit organized by Boston Mayor Tom Menino and Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick to raise money to help those families most affected by the Boston Marathon bombings.

The Boston Strong candle is a blend of cinnamon, baking spices, and a hint of freshly poured tea, and features an image of the Boston skyline in front of the American flag. The candle is available in a large jar at yankeecandle.com for $27.99.

"As a Massachusetts based company, this tragedy has hit so very near to our hearts and we all wanted to help," said Harlan Kent, CEO. "A special candle seemed the perfect solution to offer to our customers and employees who are looking for ways to support the victims."
