Surtex Attendance Climbs 5 Percent

Surtex 2014WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-Attendance at this May's Surtex gained 5 percent over the attendance at the 2013 edition of the show, according to a statement from Emerald Expositions, owner and manager of the show.

Overall, 270 exhibitors representing more than 1,000 artists presented at the show. A post-show survey of the attendees found that 89 percent of them discovered new art and design for upcoming product lines, and 61 percent said seeing original designs at this show is the most influential format for making purchasing or licensing decisions.

Liz Crawford, vice president and Surtex show director, said, "We are extremely pleased with the growth and energy of Surtex 2014 and the momentum it has given us moving forward."
