AHAM Picks Caldow to Chair Canada Council

WASHINGTON and OTTAWA, Ontario-Steve Caldow, senior product manager of Miele Limited, has been named chairman of the Canada Council of the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers.

As chairman, Caldow also serves as voting member of AHAM's board of directors. AHAM has opened its Canada Council to provide representation for U.S. and Canadian home appliance manufacturers with the federal and provincial governments in Canada, and to work closely with technical bodies that affect the industry north of the border.

AHAM Canada has also appointed Bruce Rebel as director of technical services. Rebel manages all technical and standards-related activities in Canada. He has more than 15 years of regulatory and quality-assurance experience in Canada, most recently as associate director of regulatory affairs at Bell.
