STURTEVANT, Wis.-Andis has received the WELCOA national "well workplace" designation, and has debuted a new website as it begins its 90th year in business.
The WELCOA designation was obtained from the Wellness Council of America. It is awarded to organizations that demonstrate a commitment to protecting and enhancing the health and well being of its employees. According to an Andis statement, the company scored 177 out of a possible 180 points in seven benchmarks used by the council to judge an organization's efforts toward wellness.
The new site, andis.com, includes an e-commerce area in which consumers may purchase Andis clippers, trimmers, hair dryers, styling tools and accessories. It's designed to allow shoppers to locate products quickly and efficiently according to their needs. It also provides sections specifically for barbers, stylists, consumers, those who work with large and small animals, and hotels. It also includes an area devoted to replacement blades, with a search tool enabling site visitors to locate the correct blade for any Andis clipper or trimmer.
