Atlanta Gift Show Welcomes New Housewares Players

ATLANTA-AmericasMart continues to address the red-hot gourmet housewares market with more than 250 permanent product lines, as well as an entire floor of gourmet Market Temporaries, at the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market next month.

The Gourmet/Housewares product center has more housewares product than ever before. New players at this market include L'Equip (small appliances), Now Designs (kitchen and table linens), Lynne's Whim (handmade aprons), La Crema (100 percent Colombian coffee beans), European Designs (Polish stoneware), Just Perfect Inc., (new patented inventions), and Lifetime Brands.

During the show several chefs will discuss their culinary philosophies and demonstrate the latest culinary products. "Still American as Apple Pie" will feature a presentation by Chef Linton Hopkins, who will prepare regional American cuisine and demonstrate how to prepare an all-inclusive meal in one pan. "The Staff of Life with Natural Baking" will be presented by Mary Moore, owner of Cook's Warehouse in Atlanta, who will demonstrate innovative dishes made from heart-healthy grains. "Cooking with Celebrity Chef Cat Cora" will demonstrate the Iron Chef's recipes that reflect her Greek upbringing in Jackson, Miss. A book sale and signing will follow.  And "Southern Food the Serenbe Way" will include a cooking demonstration by Chef Marie Nygren of Serenbe, who will cook her mother's traditional Southern dishes with her own healthier twist. In addition there will be a Riedel Wine Tasting Course, featuring four different grape varietals and four wine glasses, including the newest addition to the line, Vinum.

The Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market takes place July 13 - 20 (with the temporaries taking place July 15-16).
