Ayesha Curry Joins Meyer’s Celebrity Roster of Licensed Brands
February 15, 2017,
VALLEJO, Calif.—Meyer U.S. has teamed up with Ayesha Curry—the New York Times best-selling cookbook author and Food Network host—to debut a full line up of products in cookware, bakeware, stoneware, cast iron, kitchen tools and gadgets and warm beverage items next month at the International Home + Housewares Show.
“We’re very deliberate about the brands and collections we bring to market, and each one has its own distinct personality and place in the market,” said Darrin Johnston, managing director of Meyer U.S. “The Ayesha Curry consumer is in prime household creation years, often with a young family, and has a design aesthetic that is eclectic, sophisticated, welcoming and on-trend. As we’ve begun to introduce the Ayesha Curry brand to our retail partners, we’ve been extremely pleased with the positive responses and strong interest they’ve shown in the brand. We’re very excited to ramp up and move forward into our fall launch.”
Curry, who lives near Meyer’s headquarters here and is married to Golden State Warriors basketball player Stephen Curry, has been actively involved in the line’s product development, according to a company statement. The categories will reflect her own perspective on design, cooking, entertaining and family life.
Curry is known for her popular blog and YouTube channel Little Lights of Mine, which focuses on healthy living through food and faith, and her show, “Ayesha’s Homemade,” on Food Network. She will be at Meyer’s booth at the show to meet with attendees and sign copies of her cookbook, as well as appear in the Cooking Theater March 19 at 3 p.m.
Other brands in the Meyer celebrity division include Rachael Ray, Paula Deen and Cake Boss.
