BSH's Traub to Step Down

IRVINE, Calif.-Michael Traub, president and CEO of BSH North America, will leave his post on Aug. 29, after a 21-year career with the manufacturer of small and major appliances.

Traub has been president and CEO of the North American operation for the past six years. A BSH statement credited Traub with successfully managing the company through the financial crisis of the past several years, "making the North American region a role model within the global BSH organization." Under Traub's leadership, BSH North America posted 25 percent growth in 2013 and 22 percent growth for the year to date through June 2014.

He will be succeeded by Michael Steinle, who will become president and CEO on Sept. 1. A 32-year BSH veteran, Steinle most recently has served as CEO of Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances Group in the United Kingdom.
