DULUTH, Minn.-Epicurean is introducing a new pink color to its line of Recycled Poly Boards to benefit breast cancer research.

The board will be sold in Epicurean's traditional distribution channels, and 10 percent of all retail sales will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). "We believe very strongly in BCRF's mission, and are proud to be partnering with them on this endeavor," said Tony Ciardelli, CEO of Epicurean. "At Epicurean, we are dedicated to giving back to the community, and joining the fight against Breast Cancer gives us another opportunity to help men and women in our own community, as well as around the globe."

Epicurean's Recycled Poly Boards are made in the U.S.A. from 100 percent post-consumer, high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which comes from single-use milk jugs. Approximately eight milk jugs are reclaimed for every pound of material, though the larger the cutting board, the more plastic containers are prevented from being sent to a landfill. More than 95 percent of the waste the company does generate in its production process is sent to a local recycling company and is recycled again.
