Hong Kong Houseware Fair Set to Open

More than 2,100 exhibitors from 32 countries will reach out to international buyers at the 26th edition of the Hong Kong Houseware Fair scheduled for April 20-23.Sponsored by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the fair is expected to attract more than 25,000 buyers from 130 countries and regions. Buyers at last year's show included representatives from QVC, Robinson Department Store, Z Gallerie and Home Solutions, according to show organizers.

The event will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in downtown Wanchia.

Exhibitors will showcase their latest products under the following zones. Outdoor Living will feature furniture for gardens, along with barbecue grills and birding accessories; Hall of Elegance has more than 40 exhibitors from Australia, Canada, Italy, Switzerland, the United States and more, highlighting brands and designer collections; World of Fine Dining has everything for the gourmand; ASEAN select, featuring goods from southeast Asian companies from countries including Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam; and GlanceWorld of Pet Supplies, home to pet-related products and services, pet food, aquatic and veterinary products.

New for this year's show is the Green Living Zone, with many innovative green home items targeting the ecologically minded buyer and consumer.

The Houseware Fair will take place alongside the HKTDC Hong Kong International Home Textiles Fair, a spin-off of the housewares event that debuted last year. The inaugural edition attracted more than 14,300 buyers from 114 countries and regions.

"Having these two complementary fairs alongside creates synergy and opportunities," show organizers said.
