Housewares Charity Foundation to Honor Bufano of Belk, Jaffee of O2 Cool

ROSEMONT, Ill.-Kathryn Bufano, president and chief merchandising officer of Belk, and Keith Jaffee of O2 Cool, will be honored by the Housewares Charity Foundation during its 16th Annual Housewares Charity Foundation Gala  during the 2013 International Home + Housewares Show in Chicago in March.

Bufano will receive the Lifetime Humanitarian Award and Jaffee the Humanitarian of the Year Award during the Gala, which will be held Monday, March 4 at the Chicago Hilton. Proceeds will benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), the HCF's legacy charity. In addition to BCRF, the HCF board has directed that contributions also be made to two charities in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy: the American Red Cross--Hurricane Sandy Relief and Long Island Cares, Inc.--The Harry Chapin Food Bank.

Phil Brandl, president of the International Housewares Association, and Ronald Diamond, president of Conair Corp., will co-host the event. Along with the honoree tributes, the evening includes auctions and entertainment. Once again the dinner will be prepared by James Beard award-winning chefs, this year including Dave Beran, Rick and Deann Bayless, Sarah Gruenberg, Hugh Acheson, Maricel Presilla, Emily Luchetti and Jacques Torres.
