ROSEMONT, Ill.-To help attendees navigate next month's International Home + Housewares Show, show sponsor the International Housewares Association has released its first-ever mobile app, called "ih+hs 2012." It's available for free for the iPhone and iPad in the iTunes Store and for Android devices in the Android Market.

"This new app will allow buyers and other show attendees to navigate the show more efficiently, and quickly and easily find all suppliers, show events and buyer services," said Phil Brandl, IHA president. "We believe that this new tool will represent a significant improvement in a buyer's ability to take advantage of time spent at the show."

The app will allow people to search for exhibitor booths as well as their pre-planned, customized show floor plans and exhibitor lists through a direct link to Housewares Connect 365, IHA's web-based online industry search tool. In addition, it will also contain such information as schedules of educational events and displays and Cooking Theater appearances, as well as locations of such show services such as coat check or restaurant facilities, and provide access to real-time social media feeds through Twitter and Facebook.

Starting a half a day earlier this year, opening at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 10, this year's show will feature 2,000 exhibitors and is expected to attract more than 60,000 attendees.
