Jura Capresso Renamed Jura

JuraCLOSTER, N.J.-Jura Capresso has renamed itself Jura Inc., "for the benefits of global synergy," according to a company statement.

Richard Boynton, the company's president, said the new name reflects Jura's leadership in upscale coffee equipment. "Having a consistent name worldwide makes our global marketing program stronger," Boynton said. He added that the new name does not mean a change in "our full commitment to both the Jura and Capresso brands."

Jura sells its assortment of automatic coffee centers in more than 50 countries. The statement noted that Jura products have received more than 25 awards in the past five years for design and innovation, and that Jura has been designated a German "Superbrand" along with such brands as Bose, DHL, Land Rover, Lego and Jaguar.
