CLOSTER, N.J.-The Jura Impressa J9 One Touch TFT automatic coffee center has won the Red Dot Design Award from the Red Dot Institute in Germany, according to a statement from the product's manufacturer, Jura-Capresso.

The product, an espresso maker that is the new flagship for the Jura J-line, was cited for its innovation, functionality, ergonomics, self-explanatory quality, formal quality, ecological compatibility, durability, symbolic and emotional content, and product periphery, the statement said. A panel of design professionals and industry specialists reviewed more than 4,000 products from more than 60 nations for the 2011 awards.

The Impressa J9 One Touch TFT will be available for shipment in September, with an expected retail prices of $2,799.
