Krups Partners with Barista Lewontin

Krups Launches Campaign to Recognize First Responders and Military PersonnelNEW YORK-The Krups brand of Groupe SEB has formed a partnership with barista Samuel Lewontin, in which Lewontin will share his experience in preparing barista-quality coffee recipes with Krups coffeemakers.

Lewontin was present at last month's International Home + Housewares Show at Groupe SEB's booth, sharing his coffee and espresso expertise with retailers and media, according to a Krups statement, and performing demonstrations. Michelle Lupton, marketing communications director for Krups and Groupe SEB, said Lewontin and Krups will continue to share barista-quality coffee recipes as part of this partnership, with a focus on Krups professional-grade coffee, espresso and fully automatic machines.

Most recently, Lewontin won the 2011 Specialty Coffee Association of America's Northeast Regional Barista Competition. He also placed fourth at the 2013 United States Barista Championships. Currently, he is general manager for Everyman Espresso's two espresso bar locations here.
