Loring Named President of Meyer

VALLEJO, Calif.-Mitchell Loring has been promoted to president of Meyer Corporation, U.S., succeeding Robert A. Rae, who is retiring after 27 years with the company.

Loring, who previously served as executive vice president of sourced products, will lead Meyer's corporate and product strategies and reports to Stanley Cheng, founder, chairman and CEO. In his long career with the company, which began with his appointment as regional manager, East Coast in 1988, Loring has held numerous managerial and senior leadership positions, including national sales manager, vice president of sales, senior vice president of sourced product and executive vice president. Jay Zilinskas, managing director, and Phil Barberi, the newly named vice president of product development, report to Loring.

Barberi is responsible for all cookware product development for the company. He will be the point of connection with the designers and technical staff at Meyer's foreign affiliates, who propose and create the products. Barberi joined Meyer in 2000 as western regional sales manager in the Farberware division and was promoted to senior director of product sourcing in April 2007.
