Matthew K. Andis Named President of Andis

STURTEVANT, Wis.-Matthew K. Andis has become president of Andis, becoming the fourth generation of the family to hold this post.

He succeeds his father, Matthew L. Andis, who is transitioning to the role of chairman. As president, Matthew K. Andis is responsible for setting the company's strategic direction, including its international business, and oversees Andis' day-to-day operations.

Beginning with the company at the age of 14, the younger Andis joined the firm full time in 1995 as assistant sales manager. He then rose to become Midwest regional sales manager, and from there became vice president of sales. Eventually he was named vice president in charge of Andis' professional division, and from there was promoted to executive vice president, his most recent position.
