VEVEY, Switzerland-Nespresso is launching the VertuoLine, a new large-cup coffee system, in the United States and Canada.

The new system can create both American large cup-style coffee and European-style espressos. A company statement said VertuoLine is intended to capture a market segment worth about $5 billion annually in the United States alone.

The system will be sold directly to consumers through Nespresso's networks of boutiques, on nespresso.com and in select department stores and specialty retailers.
