ROSEMONT, Ill.-A slight reconfiguration at McCormick Place, site of the International Home + Housewares Show in Chicago next month, will bring four new areas in the Clean, Contain + Sustain Expo in the North Building.
The areas, previously located in the South Building, are the Inventors Corner, Inventors Revue, New Exhibitor Area and Service Providers Pavilion. Other North Building destinations for buyers include the Buyers Club with the new product showcases, and the Global Cafe, where buyers can get a free lunch with their buyer badge. Savor, the new food service vendor at McCormick Place, has dramatically increased the quality of the food and is offering more choices, according to the International Housewares Association, which owns and runs the show.
The Inventors Corner Pavilion will be anchored by 60 creative inventors and new products. The International Housewares Association has partnered with the United Inventors Association (UIA) to attract a new wave of inventors to the show. Adjacent to the Inventors Corner is the Inventors Revue, which hosts a full schedule of speakers and events. On Sunday, March 11 and Monday, March 12, panels of housewares professionals will offer feedback and advice to fledgling marketers as they present their innovations in "American-Idol" style reviews. "As Seen on TV" marketing experts will provide insight on TV marketing on Sunday and Monday "Pitch to the Pros" panels will include experts from companies like SkyMall, Evriholder, Lifetime Brands and Lakeland Catalogs. In addition, on each show day, UIA will host inventor education sessions where inventors and show attendees can sit in on classes and presentations.
A New Exhibitor Area is being established in the North Building that is devoted exclusively to new exhibitors, featuring more than 60 companies representing various show categories. Another addition to the North Building will be the Service Providers Pavilion, which hosts many companies who offer services to both exhibitors and attendees such as American Express, the U.S. Post office, UPS, Intertek and others.
