The Cookware Company to Launch New Thermolon Coating at Housewares Show
February 28, 2013,
TARRYTOWN, N.Y.-The Cookware Company, known for its Green Pan cookware line with Thermolon ceramic nonstick coating, will debut the third generation of Thermolon at the upcoming International Home + Housewares Show, called Marathon and Marathon Professional.
At the show, in booth S3413, The Cookware Company will debut Marathon on its new line called 3D. Designed to address specific everyday cooking needs, the line includes new designs that target different food groups. The I Love Eggs and Pancakes Pan has a flat surface for protein-rich foods such as eggs; the I Love Fish and Veggies Pan features a dimpled surface for fish and vegetables; and the I Love Meat and Poultry Pan has a raised ribbed surface for searing and browning of meats and poultry. And the handles identify which food group it targets to make it easy for the consumer.
Advancements in chemistry allow Marathon to have extreme durability, Thermolon said, and features include hardness and high-thermal shock resistance. Thermolon produces coatings for a number of other industries, which helps it develop technical advances in areas such as cookware, it said. Its coatings do not contain any toxic or persistent pollutants and will not release toxic fumes when heated up to temperatures as high as 850 degrees, the company said.
