INDIAN TRAIL, N.C.-Vacu Vin has named Kurt Zanner vice president of sales and marketing, effective Feb. 15.

Zanner succeeds Tom Reikowski, who has left the company, and will report directly to Patrick Schneider, president of the International Innovation Company in the Netherlands. Vacu Vin is a division of the IIC Company.

Zanner is a veteran housewares executive with nearly 30 years experience in the industry. Most recently he was director of the housewares division for Kai USA, and has also worked at KitchenArt and was president of knife maker Lamson & Goodnow.

"Kurt is a strategic and creative sales and marketing manager with extensive experience working with housewares companies and retailers," Schneider said. "His leadership skills and experience is ideal for taking Vacu Vin to the next level in United States. The timing couldn't be better to bring on someone of Kurt's caliber to launch our new product collections and to expand our sales channels."
