Wahl Launches Man of the Year Contest
May 3, 2011,
STERLING, Ill.-Wahl Clipper has inaugurated the sixth annual Man of the Year contest, in which it evaluates facial-hair styles from contest entrants.
The company said in a statement that it has changed the format of the contest for this year. Instead of picking winners in three categories of styles, it will choose one winner overall. This is because the styles of men's facial hair have proliferated beyond simple mustaches, goatees and beards. "This year, we are looking for one man that shows excellence in facial-hair prowess and grooming above everyone else," said Steve Yde, Wahl's senior product manager.
The winner will receive Wahl products and a prize package including an Apple iPad 2, Flip minoHD video camera and other products.
