Flambeau Lighting Debuts Wall Decor

BATON ROUGE, La.-At this week's Dallas Total Home & Gift Market, Flambeau Lighting will expand its product categories--which have a New Orleans style--into wall decor, with new collections of gallery-wrapped giclees from some of New Orleans' prolific and renown artists.

"I have long been a fan of the fabulous artwork originating out of New Orleans, especially artist Garland Robinette," Joseph McKearn, president. "After discussing a program with him, we shared the idea with the company's Facebook fans on our brand page and the response was sensational. As a result we became extremely encouraged to launch an introductory collection from Garland first."

Flambeau's initial wall art launch will consist of up to six different giclees from Robinette's popular hand-painted originals, including The Dodger, one of McKearn's favorites, Woman of the Storm, Earth, Wind & Fire, Love Song and Indian 2.

The life story of Robinette, who has said that he has lived with an angel on his shoulder since he was adopted at four years old, includes serving in Vietnam, being a janitor in a Mississippi River refinery as well as a television news anchor, and receiving his first artist's portrait commission, when he was selected to paint the portrait of Pope John Paul II during the Pope's one and only visit to New Orleans.

Flambeau exhibits on the 10th Floor of Dallas Market Center's World Trade Center, in #10014 WTC with Bill Reiman & Associates.
